A seventh-generation Charlestonian, Hart designed this charm with a happy childhood memory in mind: climbing the towering magnolia trees in the lush gardens of historic homes.
The magnolia is an emblem of the Lowcountry, representing the grace and old-world elegance of Charleston.
The subtle cross shape is an homage to Charleston's nickname 'The Holy City.'
DETAILS:
- 17mm wide; 17mm tall
- luxuriously-thick, tarnish-resistant 14K gold plating over brass
At HART, we are obsessed with creating top-quality, soulful jewelry that is made to last. Our gold jewelry resists tarnishing with proper care. We invest in premium craftsmanship and HGE - a high quality benchmark set by the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) to designate durability. HGE (Heavy Gold Electroplating) requires at least 100 mils of pure gold. For reference, a respectable common standard is 30 mils.
Each piece is assembled in our studio in downtown Charleston, SC.
CARE:
You can best preserve your jewelry by removing it before sleeping and showering, and reducing exposure to sweat and salt water, and chemicals like chlorine, perfume, makeup and lotions. However, we know that these rules are somewhat unrealistic, and life happens! If exposed, rinse your jewelry with purified water, pat dry, and store in a pouch.
