CHRISTINA CONIGLIO

If Palm Beach had a patron saint of color, it might be Christina Coniglio. The designer, entrepreneur, and mother of three (her newest, Goldie, just arrived) has built a world rooted in joy—pattern, print, and the kind of free-size resort wear that women can style and share throughout multiple chapters of their lives.

Read her Q+A on family, building a business with staying power and stores in Southampton, Palm Beach, and Charleston – plus the charms she chose for her personal talismans, and the best place to shop vintage in PB.

Welcome to Babes in HART – let’s say we just met at a dinner party. How would you introduce yourself?

Hi, I’m Christina! Lover of color.

At its core, our jewelry is about authenticity—wearing what reflects who you really are and tells your story. That said, what lights you up?

My family and anything creative – ideation, thinking of new, fun kookie things and design, art, color, and pattern print…that's what makes me happy.

You just had your (adorable) third baby Goldie. (congrats!!). What’s one piece of advice you’d give to mothers of young children running a business like yourself?

Give yourself a lot of grace, and whatever you can get done on that day is what you get done. I tell myself this everyday - whatever didn't get done today can happen tomorrow or the next day.

Let the rest go into the next day – don't over stress or try to think about that one email or phone call you missed, and just be in the moment and don't make yourself crazy.

What are you aspiring to lately? Personally or professionally?

Working towards building a business that can stand the test of time, and stays very true to the original intention of free size, inclusivity, and modern resort wear.

Your brand is all about “free size.” What is the best, most rewarding part of being able to offer this unique element to your customers?

Knowing that we have customers that come in and try something on, and they know their weight fluctuates, or they might want to get pregnant, or have something in their closet they can share with a friend or mother or sister is very rewarding. It happens every single day, so it’s beautiful to watch someone make an investment they know will stand the test of time.

Tell us your favorite local haunts in Palm Beach. What’s a perfect day in the city?

Growing up there, I spent a lot of time at my mom’s house at the beach, and the local things – our local surf shop The PB Boy’s Club that has been there forever, and things that identify the island, not so much of the new that has come in – the things we grew up with that are still there is what we stick to - celebrating independent.

Tell us about your HART pieces – what do the charms signify to you? Where are you excited to wear them?

I chose the Fortuna Horseshoe for my dad – he loved racehorses, and we always grew up going with him to different race tracks.  The Radiant Mama charm symbolizes just having our third, so it’s a cool celebration of that and I love that it signifies the third chapter of having the third baby. Both of these are on my 26" Chunky Chain.

What are the “tools” you use in your everyday life that help you speak to your authenticity? I.e. artist’s tools (paintbrushes, etc.), computer, notebook

Artist’s tools..definitely my Copic markers, Micron pens, and my sketchbook with watercolor paper for sure are always with me. In a way, also my computer and my phone – we do so much back and forth with the team conceptually that way – from sharing different ideas and inspiration back and forth – and then the sketchbook comes out.
