Meet Kennedy Crichlow. Co-founder of Daily Drills, mom to Holiday with another on the way, and a woman who woke up one day, said yes before she was ready, and built something beautiful with her best friend. She lives on the water. She ends everything with an exclamation point. She's never once planned an outfit and somehow always looks exactly right.

Welcome to Babes in HART, let's say we just met at a dinner party. How would you introduce yourself?

In short, I’m Holiday’s mom (with #2 on the way), Justin’s wife and ½ of Daily Drills! My happy place is the beach and I’m lucky enough to live on the water, raising my kid and running my business with an ocean view around just about every corner!

At its core, our jewelry is about authenticity, wearing what reflects who you really are and tells your story. What lights you up?

Making new memories—the big ones and the little ones. Whether that’s a beach day with my family at a cove we’ve never been to before, trying a new local coffee shop, or traveling to a new city, I love creating new experiences and sharing them with the people I love most. I think that goes hand in hand with jewelry, too. I love being able to point to a piece in my stack and associate it with the milestone, memory, or experience that it marks.

The three exclamation points show up throughout your brand. Where did that come from, and what does it mean to you now?

When Ralph and I were texting back and forth about starting Daily Drills, we probably used over a thousand exclamation points. That became the inspiration behind one of our core brand beliefs: why end a sentence or a life moment with a period when you can end it with an exclamation point? We always tell our team that the exclamation point is our way of putting extra emphasis on everything we do. It's a reminder to approach each day with enthusiasm and intention. I carry that mindset through how I run my business, how I make decisions, and how I move through life. I choose the "!!!" because it brings excitement, optimism, and energy to everything I do and say.

You grew up in a small town in Washington and built a brand in California. What has each place taught you about yourself?

Growing up and going back to visit my hometown in Washington has taught me that slowing down to enjoy the simple stuff is life’s greatest luxury. Watching an entire sunset, not rushing through your morning coffee, making dinner from scratch… that’s where my favorite moments happen! But moving to California has taught me so much, the biggest being that your dreams should scare you! If they aren’t at least a little intimidating or nerve wracking, you’re not dreaming big enough, and you won’t learn how capable you actually are!

A lot of people talk about taking the leap. You actually did it. What gave you the confidence to start a brand?

I honestly didn’t overthink it! There was no pressure or expectation for my business to become anything more than a passion project, and while I of course hoped it would be a success and I definitely put in the hard work, I almost just let it run its course and enjoyed the process. There’s never going to be a “right” moment to take the leap, so I always just tell people to say yes and trust the process. Doing it with my best friend was my secret to having fun throughout it all—I knew there was always going to be someone to lean on during the hard times and celebrate with during the wins!

Your style has that effortless Southern California ease with a real point of view underneath it. How do you get dressed in the morning? Is there a ritual to it, or does it depend on the day?

I never plan my outfits! I wake up and see how I’m feeling that day, and go from there. I usually always start by picking out my bottoms (not sure what the method to that madness is), and then I love adding interest through an unexpected shoe or piece of jewelry.

You became a mom to Holiday in April 2025 and have another baby on the way. How has motherhood changed the way you think about your work, your time, or what you're building?

Being a mom has given me a much richer perspective and deeper sense of confidence in myself and the world. The things that used to keep me up at night, I now trust will work out! The biggest shift in how I work as a mom is that every minute away from my baby has to count. As a result, I've become more intentional with my time, and my work has become more focused, purposeful, and meaningful.

Tell us about your HART stack. What charms did you choose and what do they mean to you? What was the inspiration behind the colors you chose?

I've always loved my HART pieces for the pops of color they add to any look, so I obviously knew I wanted this collection to feel bright and happy! We landed on yellow because it reminds me of home: sunshine, salt air, and golden hour at the beach. I'm always personally gravitating toward pieces that are comfortable enough to wear every day–to a workout, over a bikini, or while running errands–but still make a statement when you're heading out to dinner. This collection does exactly that!

What are the tools (physical, digital, or otherwise) you reach for every day to stay grounded and creative?

I love to spend time outside fully unplugged–playing in the backyard with my daughter, going for walks, or praying to worship music in the car! I don’t have a lot of extra time on my hands, but I really try to do things that keep me grounded during the “in between” moments.

From coffee to golden hour, what does a perfect Southern California day look like for you, and what are you wearing?

Every perfect day starts with a morning family walk to get coffee from a local shop. I’m almost always wearing sweat shorts, a graphic tee, scrunched socks and sneakers! Next is a solid work session in our OC office with Ralph. We have an ocean view and I love getting to just hang out and bounce ideas off of each other! I’m wearing an oversized maxi dress, slides, and a fun necklace stack. The day always ends at the park or at the beach, playing with my daughter. I’m in a Daily Drills thermal set with a bikini underneath for any spontaneous ocean dips!
