Q+A with our Store Co-Manager
Walk into our flagship Charleston store, and we guarantee you'll be inspired with a new way to shake up your #hartcharmparty by what our Store Co-Manager, Taylor Hanna, is wearing.
We asked her a few questions to learn the secrets behind her styling...
1. You’re the master of a #hartcharmparty…tell us your secrets for the perfect stack.
The way to a perfect stack is not being afraid to play and have fun. I love to mix not only metals, but colors and textures. The contrast between a strand of pearls and a tennis necklace is one of my favorites. I think sometimes people are afraid when building their stack because items “don’t go together” but that’s up to you and what you love!
2. What advice do you give to someone at the store who doesn't know where to start?
Take your time! Not only in-store, but in growing your collection. Take your time to look over all the charms and find what speaks to you most, but always leave room for that future find.
3. Aside from HART charm jewelry, what's your favorite layering piece in the collection (cord, pearl etc.)?
This is impossible, but I will cheat and say it's a tie between the gold lurex necklace because of how versatile it is and the pearl necklace. The chicest women in my life have all told me that pearls are a classic and will never go out of style.
Quick-fire Q+A!
1. How would you describe your style in 3 words?
Timeless, adventurous, functional
2. Favorite date night spot?
O-ku for a casual sushi date night then cocktail club for a rooftop drink.
3. Favorite after work drink spot?
Graft, especially on Tuesdays for their free wine tasting!
4. Ideal Charleston weekend?
My fiancé and I love to eat out, so it's a lot of eating and drinking, so please don’t judge (writer's note: we would never). We would start off with happy hour Friday night at Babas on Cannon, then take a long walk to get pizza at Renzo (their ranch is the best and I cannot be argued with). After dinner, I would grab a nightcap at The Faculty Lounge across the street.
Saturday, wake up and grab bagels at Ruby’s on the way to Sullivan’s Island for the morning. Spend basically the entire time in the water. then grabbing a snack and a drink at Sullivan’s Fish Camp before heading back downtown. Quick shower and then bike over to Revelry Brewery and watch the sunset over some fried pickles. Then, either calling it an early night or meeting up with friends to bop around.
By Sunday I am tired and I am crawling to Little Line Cafe for a comfort breakfast followed by a big nap. Try to hit a vintage pop up if there’s one going on (I love the one at Refinery). Usually I head to Graft in the afternoon for their Good Neighbor Sunday event to hang with friends and their puppies. By the time we leave, I roll myself back to the apartment and cuddle with my cats.
