P.S. I Hart This: Espadrilles
I wear espadrilles all summer long. They are comfortable, chic and versatile.
For date night and summer BBQs, lace-up espadrilles with a wedge are the ideal compliment to a summer dress (and easy to walk on grass). The wedge is leg-lengthening, and the ties are flattering and subtly sexy.
The Spanish brand Castaner is the iconic, affordable classic. I've worn my navy blue ones for three summers now. I am considering also investing in these beige ones below.
Jeanne Damas looking oh-so-chic in her beige espadrilles and relaxed jeans.
When I'm running out the door and want to look pulled together, I slip on flat espadrilles. I absolutely love these cheeky winking ones below by Soludos! They are neutral, yet fun! These snake print ones are 60% off, a steal for 40 bucks. I also adore these Mallorcan striped mules from Spain (via Etsy).
I just received these caramel lace-up espadrilles from Everlane. They are winners - so comfortable, well-made and versatile!
Each pair is handcrafted in Alicante, Spain—the heart of artisanal espadrilles. I'm excited to pair them with denim shorts and loose-fitting striped blouse all summer long!
The one downside to espadrilles? They aren't fun to wear when they are wet. Fortunately, I recently discovered these waterproof ones by the brand Sea Star. I'm considering getting this fun orange pair for the boat/dock/beach days ahead!
