P.S. I HART THIS: A Dollop of Heavy Cream
Currently writing this on my front porch, where a crisp breeze and soft sunlight hint at fall. Here are some things that will bring joy - and shopping indulgences - as the new season rolls in.
Oof, designer sweaters are insanely expensive. My personal jury is still out on whether a luxe label is “worth the investment.” Sweaters just look tired after a few years of wear. FACT. I replenished my sweater collection at COS, which balances quality and price.
Now that peak boating and surfing season is behind me, it’s time to reunite with Retinol. Alexa Chung told Sienna Miller that she swears by the efficacy of this French pharmacy retinoid creme. So now I use this French pharmacy retinoid creme. C’est bon.
Fall means a busy work travel schedule. To carry my kiddos and husband with me while I’m away, I wear a cluster of their initials on a long, lightweight chain (boob length! 22”). P.S. This modern amulet makes a no-fail gift – personalize one here.
I love a hand-written to-do list, but I’ve found that our running household to-do list is more effective when it’s on the iPhone vs stuck on the fridge. My husband and I started a shared list with Apple’s nifty Reminders app… write the task, tag yourself or your partner, and add a due date to sync with your calendars.
I’m daydreaming about where to catch a live show of my all-time favorite band The War on Drugs this tour season. Until then, this 2020 live album is on constant repeat at my house.
I love the versatility of The Percy Clip Necklace – I’m constantly changing the charm cluster on mine to fit my style mood or mantra (Memento Mori, lately). Old charms, new charms, vintage lockets.
Imagine cozying up under this cheerful Wallace Sewell throw blanket for your next Netflix sesh. It’s expensive, but it will quickly enliven just about any old sofa. Look for less here.
I recently was a guest in the mountain home of my best friends with the best, best taste. Here’s their coffee routine that I shamelessly copied upon returning home. Brew half decaf / half regular of Whole Foods 365 Brand coffee in the Moccamaster and serve in these delightful spatterware mugs from Ark Elements. I’m a lush so I add a dollop of heavy cream. Try it!
